Product Description

JM-L series colloid mill is the fist product of our factory. This product is a new type of equipment for wet ultra-fine particle processing. It is suitable for homogenization, emulsification and crushing of all kinds of emulsion.

The structure of the product consists of three parts: grinding head part, base driving part and motor. All parts in contact with the material are made of high quality stainless steel. The motor is specially designed according to the need of colloid mill, and a water catch plate is installed on the motor flange end cover to prevent leakage.

Operation principle and features of colloid mill:
Works: colloid mill grinding (cone) is by the motor through a belt belt tooth (or called rotor) and regulated matching tooth (or called stator) for relatively high-speed rotation, the weight of the processed material by itself or an external pressure (can) generated by the pump pressure to produce downward spiral impact, through constant, transfer between tooth clearance, clearance can be adjusted by powerful shear force, friction force, high frequency vibration, such as physical function, make the material being effectively emulsification, dispersion and grinding, the effect of ultra-fine grinding and emulsifying materials.
Main features: compared with pressure homogenizer, colloid mill is a centrifugal equipment, which has the advantages of simple structure and convenient maintenance, suitable for materials with higher viscosity and larger particles. Its main disadvantages are also determined by its structure. Firstly, because of centrifugal motion, the flow rate is not constant, which corresponds to a great change in the flow rate of materials with the same viscosity. For example, the same equipment can process viscous paint materials and thin emulsion fluids with a flow difference of more than 10 times. Secondly, because of the high speed friction between the rotor and the material, large amount of heat is easily produced, which makes the material treated denatured. Third, the surface is easy to wear, and after wear, the refining effect will be significantly reduced.
Application profile
The refinement effect of colloid mill is generally weaker than that of homogenizer, but it has strong adaptability to materials (such as high viscosity and large particles), so it is used in the front of homogenizer or in high viscosity situations in many cases. Colloid mill is often used for refining when there are more solid materials.
